OK this game is flying around the web like a celebrity sex tape… So I guess I’ll do it. I actually already did this like 2 years ago, go here: http://www.kendrickdisch.com/blog/2007/things-you-may-not-know-about-me/

So anyway, I’m supposed to tag the people who’ve tagged me and the people that I want to know more about… OK. I can do that. But you’re going to have to go to facebook for that part…

I’m not going to number them because I don’t want to…

I have a dog named Charlee and she is awesome! Here is a picture: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2027/2380910969_5dd40c5bb4.jpg

I recently moved to Atlanta. I love it so far! (unfortunately, Charlee is vacationing at my parents house for a little while)

I moved here to study photography at The Portfolio Center. It’s a small visual communications program and it’s one of the best in the country.

I switched from PC to Mac about a year ago, after being a staunch supporter of Windows for over 10 years. I haven’t even glanced back!

I don’t lose things very often, so when I do, I know it’s probably gone for good.

Except for lens caps for my camera lenses. I lose those all the time. It’s absurd.

My taste in music hasn’t changed since I was 15. I like my pop-punk. So sue me.

When I was 13 I developed a crush on a girl. When I was 18 we finally started dating. It lasted three and half years.

I’m a patient person and work hard to get what I want, even against some scary odds.

I am generally a very calm and easy going guy. But every once in a while my temper gets the better of me and I kick in some poor schmuck’s face.

The above sentence is a pretty good example of my sense of humor.

Sometimes I have to apologize for saying something so utterly retarded that I can’t even believe I said it.

Actually, one time I did break a girl’s face. Here’s the story: http://www.kendrickdisch.com/blog/2008/ill-break-your-face/

I sing loud and proud when I’m driving. I seriously don’t care if you’re looking at me funny at stop lights. Usually I air drum too.

In high school I played guitar and sang in a ska band. I wasn’t very good at it. Here’s a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6avaaAfUGs

If given a choice, I prefer to have shoes on. I hate being barefooted. Here’s some background: http://www.kendrickdisch.com/blog/2006/the-barefoot-hiker-not-me/

You might have noticed all these links to my blog, I’ve been blogging for quite some time. I started blogging after the breakup with the girl mentioned above as a sort of therapy. Since then my blog has changed location several times but for the foreseeable future is at http://www.kendrickdisch.com/blog .

The most popular post on my blog is one about my eye color. They’re a sexy shade of blue. http://www.kendrickdisch.com/blog/2008/blue-eyes-we-are-related-and-sensitive/

I know my purpose in life. I found it when I definitely wasn’t looking for it, but I’m so glad I stumbled across it.

Honesty is the most important characteristic I seek out in friendship. I’d rather not be your friend at all if you are going to lie to me.

I have a birthday coming up soon. I’ll be 27. I don’t really want anything except a new cell phone. This one.

I’m confined to a wheelchair while writing this. I would explain why but I’m getting tired and I need to go to sleep.

So last night I ate at a restaurant with a friend of mine, I had a turkey burger. This morning I woke up and discovered that the turkey wasn’t dead yet. It was alive and it wanted out!

In other words, I was sick on both ends. I tried to get some work done, but all I could really do is read the newest issue of “Esquire” that I picked up last night. I got it because it has interviews with some of the worlds most successful people about what they’ve learned in life. Stuff like: “A variety of things don’t work out; KEEP GOING!” by Jack Welch and “I once went to group therapy. Everyone their blamed someone else– their father, their mother, their agent. When it got to me I said, ‘You’re all full of shit. You’re going to be here forever! Look in the mirror, you are responsible for every mistake you make.” from Burt Reynolds.

I like to hear things like that because I value advice from people who have been there and done that. I feel like sometimes I don’t have all the wisdom I need, so I take it where I can get it. Burt Reynolds also said, “I can tell a young person where the mines are but he’s probably going to have to step on them anyway”. I’m pretty sure I fall into that category too. I take advice from people, see how it plays into my own view of the world, and then make decisions.

Besides reading the copy of Esquire, I also watched videos on youtube. I rarely ever just spend a couple of hours exploring the site and finding cool new videos, but that’s what I did today. In between puking.

I looked at a lot of Yellowcard videos because I think they are my favorite active band. Blink 182 is still dear in my heart, but of course they are broken up, so Yellowcard is it. Pretty much every song is great and I identify with almost all of the lyrics. Based on some of the ups and downs of 2007 for me, their newest album really resonates with me.

Here’s what the singer had to say about the album, Paper Walls:

“…very much a record of hope and finding yourself again. It’s after you’ve come through all of that – going to the height of it – and picking yourself back up again. And by “hitting rock bottom” I don’t mean in record sales or fame or any of that shit. I mean personally – emotionally…Paper Walls is the story, the feeling, of what it’s like to be out of those holes, looking back, no regrets, but smarter and having grown through them.” (source)

so yeah, I really am digging Yellowcard right now and I found this video on youtube:

I hate going to walmart. I am terrible at it. I get so distracted by all the shiny wrappers that I forget why I am there and usually end up buying about three times as much stuff as I planned. I wish walmart would implement a shop online-pick up locally deal. We could shop whenever we wanted and add things to our ‘carts’, and then when we were finally ready to go pick up the stuff we just check out online, give the employees some time to gather up all my stuff, then head over to walmart and load up the goods. Perhaps you could even specify a back up or alternative product in case your first choice is, god forbid, out of stock. It’s a brilliant system. Don’t deny it!

Whenever I do go to walmart, I inevitably hate it. But I keep going back. I don’t even know what else is out there. I just go to walmart for everything, like a good Arkansan should. I have to support my friends that work there don’t I? Anyway, there are lots of ways that shopping at walmart could be improved, so I made a list of rules people should follow when shopping at walmart. (with a little help from friends)

Always park in the first available spot you see. I hate people who drive around for 10 mins trying to get a spot 200 yards from the door instead of 250 yards from the door.

You must get a cart! No matter how many items you plan on buying, get a cart. There is nothing more retarded than somebody walking around with arms full of groceries, clumsily tyring to pile one more item on top before the entire load can bear the weight no longer and comes crashing down right in front of me, whereas, I feel obligated to bend over and help you load yourself back up again.

You have to stay on the right hand side of the aisle. Here in America this is how we do things. If you’re at Walmart in Europe then you can use the left hand lane. Be warned, I never back down from a game of chicken!

Once you commit to an aisle, there’s no turning around within that aisle. You gotta go all the way to the end. It’s like a one way road. You can just stop and back up and turn around on a way road. Learn how to read… they have these amazing inventions called signs that tell you what items are in what aisles!

Get your shit and get out! This ain’t the mall. No one is there to socialize. Say “Hello” and keep the cart rolling.

For God’s Sake, pay attention to what you’re doing. If you smack me in the face with your mop handle, I’m going to pull the mop out of your cart and shove it up your ass! If you are blocking the aisle completely oblivious of me trying to go around your fat ass, don’t blame me when I throw a soup can at you to get your attention.

Keep your bratty kids in the cart. Next time I see a snot nosed kid running around without parents I’m going to teach them about sex and drugs.

Once you’re in the checkout line you can’t leave the checkout line with forfeiting your spot in line. Hell no, I’m not going to wait while you run and grab some gravy. And speaking of checkout lines, if you don’t know how to work the self checkout machine, get the hell out of the way and let those of us that made it past 2nd grade get on with our lives!

No making out in walmart. I don’t care… Don’t do it!

Don’t ask me any stupid questions or try to engage in chit chat. I don’t really care what you think about the cheese today or how the rain causes cucumbers to grow differently. Do I look like a farmer? Don’t talk to me!

I haven’t done much traveling but usually jump at the chance to go somewhere.
I am 6’3″ high.
I have one tattoo. A red star on my upper arm that doesn’t mean anything and thats exactly why I chose it.
I can’t grow a full beard. I have bare spots where a goatee goes.
I love football. Playing and watching.
I take pictures as a hobby.
I really want a Volkswagen Touareg.
I don’t like seafood.
I’m not very social by choice, but I can flip it on if I need to.
I am excellent at customer service.
I enjoy garagesailing.
I don’t drink carbonated beverages.
I’ve never broken a bone in my body.
I have perfect vision but like to wear glasses anyway.
Once upon a time I sang and played guitar in a band. Now I just watch others.
I have a tendency to burn things when I cook.
I like to buy gadgets.
I enjoy driving and busy traffic doesn’t bother me very much.
I take credit for my successes and failures.
I like girls. (most of you probably already knew this one)
I collect cars, although my collection is very small right now.
Water is the best drink you can offer me in most settings.
I do some amatuer boxing.
I only have a few close friends. Sometimes it’s enough, sometimes I want more.
Often, I find myself struggling to finish things I start. Not because I’m lazy, but because I am more excited about a new project I am working on.
I love peanut butter. Love it.
I’m very full of thought. Notice I didn’t say thoughtful.
I don’t like excersizing. Sometimes I do it anyway.
I’m a movie buff.
My pop culture knowledge begins in 1990.
I’m not very good at shopping. I get too distracted.
I’ve never gotten a ticket (parking tickets don’t count!).
I enjoy the fresh clean feeling of Purell Hand Sanitizer, but germs don’t bother me.
I like to read.
I hate waking up anytime before 10:00am.
I’ve noticed my spelling has gotten worse in the last few years. Probably due to spell check.
I am a PC guy who often uses a Mac.
My ears aren’t level with each other.
I’ve never dated a blonde.
I am a little uncomfortable with my level of debt.
I find myself becoming more politically moderate as I get older.
I enjoy the occasional religious debate, however, I resent religion being pushed onto me.
I have a very narrow taste in music. I accept this as a fault but can’t seem to do anything about it.
If I had the ability, I would adopt tons of dogs and cats from the Humane Society.
I’m hyper-sensitive to poison ivy.
I wear size 13 shoes.
I’m not very good at foreign languages. I think math is a foreign language.
I’m a boy scout drop-out.
I played cello until I graduated high school. I haven’t touched one since.
I’m an organ donor.
