Practice shots of the Mazda CX7 on the lake!

So on Tuesday I got to go out with a class as they learned about lighting on location and about mixing natural lighting with artificial lighting. I went along as an observer however, they had an extra light kit so I grabbed it and decided to practice lighting a car.

The one below is my first attempt at HDR imaging. I am excited by the results and will be experimenting with it more, esp with the amazing cloud coverage here in Santa Fe!

I also shot this shot while I was there, although I’m not really all that pleased with it.

Overall, I had a good time and feel like I learned a lot. I look forward to more practice!
