Mexico Randomness 1.0
This post is going to be filled with randomness. The pic above is from the little coffee shop that I go to in the mornings to get my Chai Latte.
We had a really really nice Saturday. I hung out by the pool for awhile with one of my coworkers. I shot this pic from the comfort of my reclining lawnchair.

I also snapped a few pics of Alfonsina (the coworker) laying by the pool.

Last weekend I went out with a girl that I met down here who is the assistant for a famous photographer. She was cool to hang out with but she wouldn’t let me take a picture of her. I snuck this one at a bar while we were watching a band play:

Here’s a shot from a location shoot with Jock Sturges’ class called “The Portrait and The Nude”. I was out with them that day to shoot video and I snapped a few shots of various photographers doing what they do.

One of the very touristy things to take pictures of down here is the ‘Jardin’, the square in the center of town.

Next to the Jardin is the Parroquia. A large church.

Here is a shot from Halloween night on the Jardin with the Parroquia in the background.

I recently learned something about my camera that I definitely should have already known. I’m not going to say what it was, but now that I know it, I think my photography will get a lot better.
I bought an Ipod before I came down here. It is my second Ipod. The first one I had for a week and then sold it to a friend. Basically I use a PC for personal usage and Ipods and PC’s don’t seem to get along. I thought the problem would be fixed by now, but I have had nothing but problems trying to get my Ipod to sync properly. Other than that fact, I think the 160gig video Ipod is a pretty great device. I love having all my music available to me all the time and also, I like to have episodes of a few television shows I like on there for when I’m stuck somewhere with nothing to do. My biggest suggestion for Itunes would be to have a way to smart combine all my music by artist. As it stands now, I have music by a band called “A New Found Glory” and I have music by a band called “New Found Glory”. They are the same band, however, on my Ipod they are listed as two seperate artists. This should be an easy automated fix.
Sometimes, at least with me, a certain album is the perfect thing to listen to for awhile. For me, at this moment, I’ve been playing the newest Yellowcard album over and over. It’s called Paper Walls and it’s great. I’ve had a rough time with a few things this year and now that I’m doing better, I’m really enjoying the new songs on this album.
