Heads and Tails…

2007 has really been an amazing year for me so far. But not everything has been good, in fact I think half the stuff that has happened to me lately has been downright nasty. I’ve been jerked up and down on this roller coaster of life far more rapidly than I’ve ever experienced. The most recent hairpin turn is the one that made me spew chunks all over the people behind me. I’m not sure the turbulence is going to get better anytime soon either. But it’s a two sided coin.

Recently I was tested on a subject I have never studied and had only instincts to rely on. It was a short, tough test, but I clearly had awesome instincts and showed a side of me no one has ever seen before. I surprised even myself.

Facing off against all these major life experiences has made me stronger. I’m way more self aware and feel like I have much greater understanding of my own motivations. I came out to Santa Fe with a clear set of goals to accomplish and even though I haven’t made much progress on all of them, I’m ok with that, because I’ve glimpsed a higher purpose for my life.

I’m gearing up to go out and see what else Kendrick Disch is made of.
