My new tires for my Eclipse

Before I went to Nashville in August, I got new tires for my car. It hurt me a little in the pocketbook because the total cost for tires, warranty, and install was 700 bucks. I went to Sears because I wanted a place that had a national warranty program and they were the only place I could think of besides Sam’s and Walmart that did tires. And lord knows I’m not letting them touch my car.

anyway, these are the tires I bought. Falken Ziex ZE-512 17in. They are well reviewed and seem to do a good job because I haven’t crashed my car since I put them on. It says on that site the maximum certified speed was 168 MPH. Although I bet my car could go that fast, I’m not crazy enough to try.

Here is a shot of the tire warehouse at Sears. It is actually above the area where they work on the cars. You can look down at the floor and spit on a mechanic because it is just made of these metal bars that don’t feel very secure. We didn’t fall through though.
